Thomas Doerschel
About Me
Thomas Dörschel, a German national, studied law and economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, graduating “cum laude” with the state law examination in 1995. Prior to this, he completed vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter).
Thomas Dörschel has over 25 years’ real estate industry experience. He has led transaction teams in international real estate consultancies including undertaking various national and international roles. In addition to the classic areas of acquisition, transaction management and asset sale, share deals and portfolio transactions, he has also managed many large-volume, cross-border, complex transactions, which included the management and organisation of tax and financing issues. For one of the largest German real estate fund providers he undertook responsibility for the implementation of all sales activities in Europe. Given the variety of senior industry roles he has developed many direct national and international contacts as well as a broad network of national and international real estate players.
He began his real estate career at a real estate consulting firm in Frankfurt am Main. He subsequently switched to the investment sector and from the outset was responsible for national and international institutional and private mandates, among others at Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker, DTZ Zadelhoff Tie Leung and Colliers International. For Deka Immobilien GmbH he was responsible for the sale of real estate in Europe from various funds. He was also responsible for the related co-ordination processes with the fund management, the other asset management and all other departments and areas, including tax, structuring, financing, insurance, custodian and legal. Practical experience in the field of large-volume project development can be demonstrated through the establishment of a project development company. In total he has been responsible for transactions with a volume of more than 4 billion euros.
With real4i GmbH Thomas operates his own asset management company from an office in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
